Fun Friday

It's Friday.  You know why I'm here...

Done with the pooping yet?  No?  Okay.  Mebbe you need medical halp...

Just like every Friday, I'm taking the easy way out.  Well, not as easy as the days I skip out on here all together.  Whatever.  I'm trying to make some weekend plans, but I'm on call for work.  I don't need to go anywhere for it, but I do need to stay close by a phone and be able to get to a computer soon after.  That sorta kills any plans I can make.

Who gives a shit.

I'll ride my bike (probably) and do some things around the house (also probably involving bikes.)  Will I haz good stories next week?  I dunno.

That's why I like to provide the funny.

Fun Friday

It's my favorite day.

I meant to be here yesterday.  I was busy I guess.

This Friday is just like any other...

It's the start of two days off for me.  I have plans, and they involve trying to ride my bike without going over the bars again.  That's it.  Simple, right?

One trip to the hills tomorrow, followed by a not yet planned ride on Sunday.  Mix in some beer and guitars, and this is the recipe for the perfect weekend.

I'm so cool.

Fun Friday

It's been a long week for me.  Although I love my job now, I've been working on a project that's taking a lot of my time.  I should be finished with it today.  Hooray.  That means that I don't have to get up early tomorrow and worry about anything.

It also means that I need some time alone.  I have plans as usual, but what I'd really like is to be somewhere quiet and away from people.

It is Fun Friday, which as the start of the weekend means that I can do whatever the hell I want.  I post funny(ish) pictures, I laugh, and maybe you laugh too.

And to wrap up this crap and nonsense, I'll post another photo that my man D-Wayne will probably get a kick out of.

He may think it's funny, but maybe you are offended.  Who gives a shit.

Fun Friday

I almost forgot that today was Friday.  Since I’ve been skipping a few days a week on ye olde blog, I guess that’s easy to do.  Also, I have another “thing” going on that has me a little preoccupied.

I know I’ve mentioned how unhappy I’ve been with a recent career move.  I’ve had enough, and it’s time to move on. 

It’s not me, it’s them.

And that’s all I need to say about it, other than the fact that I’m gonna have a little bit of time off here shortly.  I think a trip down to The Sunshine State is is my future.  Details soon.

So, what are you up to this weekend?  It’s beautiful here, so my plan is to be outside.  Mountain bicycling is definitely on the agenda, and the little lady will join me this time.  I’m sure I’ll have pictures and junk next week.  In the meantime, I’ll stick with my usual Fun Friday theme and post a few photos I have of things that might make you chuckle.

Okay, funny enough.  However, sometimes I like to stay up with current events.  I heard on the news this morning that that formally fat guy that got skinny from eating sandwiches was sentenced to prison.  You know the story.  Well, here’s my take on it.

It’s another beautiful day…

Because it’s Friday.  If you’re like me, you have two days off from work.  I’m happy because I sure could use a few days off.  Oh, you have to work and Friday doesn’t mean shit to you?  Sorry ‘bout that.

I don’t really have plans for certain, but I’m certain that I’ll be on a bike somewhere.  From what the weatherman says, there’s rain on the way.  That means any local mountain bike riding is out.  The stuff will be coming from the direction of our mountains, so maybe a trip to the hills won’t happen either.  I’m gonna ride though, even if it’s on a road bike.

That actually looks like fun, but I’m talking about riding on the actual road.  Maybe I’ll get into an adventure or something.  Who knows.  More importantly, who gives a shit.

I can do what I want.

Is it safe to come out now?

Well, I’m making the best of it.  Working my ass off and such, but in the meantime trying to do anything I can to keep this shit show going.  It’s Friday after all, so I figured I could at least come up with some funny stuff to share before the weekend.

Well, that and I’m trying to to be in a bad mood and all that.

I don’t really need that book.  Not because I’m not a dick (I am sometimes), but mostly because in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter.

So yeah, enough with the pity party.  I’m here to make laughs and all that happy horseshit.

Fun Friday

Man, I love Fridays.  It’s not like I have to post anything on here at all, but it’s nice that I’ve given myself a cheat day so to speak.  I've been a little under the weather the past few days, but I'm feeling better now that it's Friday.

Anyway, on to the “fun.”

Since I came back from Florida with some awesome stuff from the Saint Augustine Distillery Company, I’ve been on a mixed drink kinda kick.  I mixed up something that’s sorta like one we had on the tour and it’s gooooooooood.

Ginger beer, lime, and some Florida Cane Sugar Vodka.  Not bad.

That’s a nice way to start the weekend, but I think I still owe y’all something marginally funny. 

Like this skateboard/stroller combination I found on The Internets.  It seems very versatile.

Okay, no “funny pictures from The Internets” would be complete without some sort of cat.  This thing baffles me and makes me laugh at the same time.

Short Week

It’s my Friday.  I shall celebrate.

Blogging has been easy this week (not like it’s that difficult to begin with.)  I was off Tuesday, and now I’m off tomorrow and a few days next week.  I need a break from work, and some alone time in the woods seems to be the right course of action.  I have a few rides planned while I’m gone, and I hope that each one of them is more fun than the next. 

I found that picture yesterday.  It’s from almost two years ago, but it’s one of my favorites.  It reminds me of how much fun I can have riding my bike, and that one in particular reminds me of how much fun racing used to be.  Maybe I can capture that again soon.

And I almost forgot, next Tuesday is my birthday.  That’s part of the reason I won’t be here.

That about sums it up.

Man, I can’t wait to get out in the woods.  It’s gonna be really cold here due to some Canadian Arctic Blast, but who gives a shit. 

Maybe blogging will resume to “normal” levels when I get back sometime next week.

Lunchbox is taking a week off from providing me with funny shit, so I had to dig up my own.  At least it has something to do with bikes.

It's Friday

I'm gonna start doing something a little different around here. Since Fridays are typically a little slower, I probably don't need to waste my time with a lengthy post. Kinda like how Eastwood does his “Media Fridays” or whatever the hell he calls it, I'll just post up a photo or some other shit like that. For the most part it won't be bike-related, although from time to time it might be. Basically it'll be something to creep you out or make you laugh (or both.)


I'll try it for a little while and see how it goes. Of course, if there's big news or big weekend plans I'll post that too.
